TIME is running out to sign up for a Duathlon event set to take centre stage in Stockton later this month.
Competitors have until Sunday (April 17) to register for the event which takes place against a backdrop of the River Tees on Sunday, April 24.
The run-cycle-run race format will see participants of all levels of ability compete in the Novice, Sprint and Standard challenges.
Cllr Norma Wilburn, Stockton Borough Council’s cabinet member for arts, leisure and culture, said: “Now in its fourth year, the Duathlon will welcome over 800 participants taking part in the various races on the day. This is your final chance to register your place, lace up your running shoes and be part of a thrilling day.
“If you’re not competing yourself, I encourage everyone to come down to Stockton Riverside and cheer on all of our budding athletes whether they are running for fitness and fun or competing for a top spot in their race.”
The novice race gets under way at 9am, the sprint at 11am and the standard distance starts at 1pm.
