A WOMAN had to be cut free from a car after a crash on the A66.
The woman, thought to be in her late 20s, was taken to hospital by ambulance after the incident at around 5am on Sunday, February 7.
Fire crews who were called to rescue the driver said the woman appeared to have lost control of the car, leaving the eastbound carriageway near Longnewton and hitting an electrical box on the grass verge.
Fire crews removed the door of the car to free the woman and she was taken to hospital as a precaution.
