POLICE on Teesside have arrested several people after two vehicle thefts ended in chases with police interceptors.
Officers spotted a vehicle stolen from Middlesbrough earlier in the evening last night.
After a short pursuit the vehicle was abandoned.
A suspected was tracked by police dogs nearby and arrested. They will be interviewed by CID on Thursday morning.
In a separate incident, a vehicle stolen in a burglary in Stockton was pursued through the town centre by police.
After abandoning the vehicle, several suspects were detained nearby.
A Cleveland Police spokesman said: "An uncomfortable night in Middlesbrough custody awaits whilst we continue to gather evidence."
