A PENSIONER was taken to hospital after being hit by a car on Yarm High Street on Monday night.
The 65-year-old was hit by a Citroen C3 vehicle close to Sainsburys at about 6.15pm.
He was taken to James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough with cuts and bruises and was kept in for observation. The driver of the vehicle escaped injury.
Anyone who may have seen the incident is asked to contact PC Sharon Smith from the Cleveland and Durham Specialist Operations Unit on the non-emergency number 101, quoting event number 203780.
