TWO teenagers have been found unconscious with serious head injuries following an incident near to an industrial estate.

The 16 and 19-year-old males were believed to have been riding a red motorbike at the time of the incident but when police arrived at the path leading from Portrack Lane to Norton Road in Stockton, the there was no sign of it.

Both were taken to James Cook University Hospital for treatment to significant head and spinal injuries as a result of the incident this morning (Thursday, October 1) just after 1am, close to the Tecaz store.

Detective Sergeant Paul Husband, from Cleveland Police major crime team, said: “Two males have been left with significant, life-threatening injuries and both are receiving treatment in hospital. It is believed that they had been travelling on a motorcycle which was not at the scene when police arrived.

“I would appeal for anyone who may know the whereabouts of the motorcycle or anyone who may have information regarding the incident to contact police on 101.”
