VINTAGE fire engines attracted hundreds of people over the weekend when they descended on Preston Park.

Visitors were able to check out a 1960 Dennis F26 Pump Escape — which travelled down to Stockton from the Aberdeen area under its own power.

There were also able to see one of the oldest fire engines on show, a 1943 Dennis Light 4 Pump Escape, which was ordered by Elgin Town Council and delivered to the National Fire Service.

Various displays of firefighting through the ages took place throughout the weekend, alongside all-action stunt displays provided by Stockton Borough Council, featuring Bolddog Lings Motorcycle stunt team and Swamp Thing Monster Truck.
