TIME is running out to claim a place on a choice of three Stockton Endeavour Sportive rides as competitors only have until Sunday, July 5 to confirm their registration.
The Sportive, now in its fifth year, is growing in popularity each year and treats entrants to a range of scenic views as the route travels across various locations around Stockton Borough and the North Yorkshire Moors.
A choice of rides is available, each with varying distances to suit the abilities of all riders and all come with a Tour de France style motorcycle escorted start – giving riders the opportunity to get underway free from traffic while feeling like a star of the sport.
Norma Wilburn, Stockton Borough Council’s cabinet member for arts, leisure and culture, said: “We have a superb programme of events for everyone to enjoy as part of this year’s Cycling Festival and the Stockton Endeavour Sportive is a key part of that.
“It offers everyone, regardless of their ability, a chance to set themselves a fitness goal this summer and it represents a really competitive challenge for the more experienced riders.
“I would encourage anyone interested to get involved as they are guaranteed an enjoyable day and a very rewarding experience while making new friends and improving their fitness along the way.”
All entrants will receive a detailed information pack in advance of the day, which provides all the necessary advice on what to bring and what to expect.
The event is run in partnership between Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council and Velo29.
