A PAIR of top comedians are heading Stockton's ARC later this year.

Nick Helm and David O'Doherty will be performing in October and December respectively.

Star of BBC3’s Uncle and Heavy Entertainment, the larger-than-life Nick Helm will be giving Stockton a sneak preview of his brand new work-in-progress on Wednesday, October 21.

And Perrier-winning Irishman David O’Doherty will be hitting the Stockton stage on Wednesday, December 2.

Both shows go on sale at ARC’s box office and online at 10am this Thursday morning (June 25).

Graham Ramsay, of promoters Ten Feet Tall, said: “These are two absolutely belting gigs – a pair of true eccentrics who will keep the audience guessing every inch of the way.

“We’ve worked with David O Doherty a few times before, and he’s a real class act – modest, clever, charming and, obviously, very very funny. He somehow makes everything look so easy and intimate, almost like he’s doing the gig in your own front room.

“And then there’s the force of nature that is Nick Helm. It’s the first time we’ve had him up here, and we can’t wait. His gigs are already the stuff of legend – gloriously unpredictable - and he’s well on the way to becoming a major league star."

Tickets are available from the box office on 01642-525199 or arconline.co.uk from 10am on Thursday.
