SCHOOLBOY Michael Sadler who died in a tragic motorcycle accident has been described as a gorgeous boy with a sense of adventure by staff and students at Conyers School in Yarm.

A tribute has been posted in memory of the 15-year-old Year 10 pupil who was killed on Friday on land near to the South Gare in Redcar after coming off his bike. He was wearing full off-road safety clothing and a helmet at the time of the incident which happened at about 8.20pm.

The secondary school said its thoughts were with Michael’s family and friends. "Michael was a gorgeous boy with such a charming smile. A caring soul who was a good friend to so many. Michael loved a sense of adventure and was not a stranger to mischief, always playing tricks with his mates.

"His amazingly warm nature and sense of humour was admired by all."

"Michael will be remembered for his passion and love of motorbikes, which he always talked about, with anyone who would listen.”

The tribute said that Michael, from Redcar, had been loved by his tutor group. “We will all miss you Michael and we will think of you often, holding a special place in our hearts for you always," it added.

An online book of condolences has been opened for staff and students to share their thoughts.

Miss Metcalfe wrote: “I have always believed that everything happens for a reason. Today I am struggling to believe in that philosophy. It only took me a short amount of time to see what a charming and funny young man you were turning out to be. Tutor time will not be the same. The school is heartbroken to have to say goodbye to you Michael.”
