THE search formissing Lee Brown is continuing, one week on from when he was last seen.

The last confirmed sighting of the 24-year-old was at about 11.25pm on Saturday, April 25, near to the River Tees Watersports Centre in Stockton.

Over the last seven days police have issued a number of public appeals and Lee's family have spoken out in a bid to trace him.

However, he remains a missing person and officers are continuing with their enquiries to find him.

Lee had been at a party on the Teesside Princess boat on the evening that he went missing. He got off the boat in Stockton and was reported missing when he failed to contact family or friends.

His mother, Violet Brown, said: "We are desperate to know where Lee is.

"He is a devoted and loving dad and son and it is out of character for him not to contact us. We need anyone who thinks they may have seen him to contact police."

Detective Inspector Glen Westmoreland said: "Seven days on from the last confirmed sighting of Lee, we are continuing with our enquiries to find him and would again appeal to the public for their help.

"We know that it is out of character for Lee to go missing and for him not to be in contact with his family, friends and especially his young son. His family are desperate for answers and our concern grows as time passes.

"This is very much an active missing person inquiry. So far we have sifted through hours of CCTV footage from various cameras, have conducted searches of the walk ways around the river and spoken to Lee's close family and friends, as well as those on the boat with him last week.

"Anyone who may have seen Lee on Saturday evening or since then or anyone with knowledge of his whereabouts is asked to call us on 101."

Lee is described as 6ft 5" tall, blonde, with blue eyes and of muscular build. He has a panther tattoo on his left arm, a tiger tattoo on his right leg and the name 'Harrison' tattooed across his shoulders.

He was wearing black Timberland boots with a white logo, blue jeans and a blue jumper with tan patches on the shoulders. His hair could have looked shorter than usual as it had recently been cut.
