DETECTIVES have arrested two more men in connection with armed raids at jewellers on Teesside.
The men, aged 24 and 27, were arrested on suspicion of robbery in the Stockton area this morning. (Wednesday, March 18)
They continue to be questioned by police following the robberies at two branches of Market Cross Jewellers.
On November 10, robbers wearing balaclavas escaped with watches and other expensive accessories worth thousands of pounds from the Yarm shop.
The suspects are believed to have been wielding axes when they held-up the shop on Linthorpe Road in Middlesbrough on January 13.
On January 30 another 27-year-old was arrested on suspicion of robbery and on January 15 two other men, aged 19 and 24, were arrested following the incidents in which no one was hurt.
