TEN new jobs have been created at the oldest pub in Yarm, following a £248,000 investment.
The Ketton Ox, named after the famous bull of the same name, is to re-opened its doors on FridayFEB20 and began to offer a greater range of real ales.
General Manager Gill Bell said: “Our regulars love the real ales. We will be introducing three guest beers each week as well as hosting regular real ale tasting and ‘Meet the Brewer’ nights.
“We have maintained the traditional feel to the pub with the refurbishment, taking care to enhance its original features such as its parquet flooring."
The late 17th Century pub also offers food and has Sky Sports and BT Sports. A new weekly quiz night is set to start on Thursday, February 26 from 8pm along with more live music entertainment on Sundays and the introduction of wine tasting evenings.
The Ketton Ox will open daily from 10am serving a full breakfast menu and closes at 11pm.
