A WOMAN who was seriously injured after being hit by a bus has thanked the public for their help.
Hannah Baxter was in a critical condition for almost three weeks after the accident took place near Maxwell's Corner, on Stockton High Street, on October 21.
The 32-year-old, from Thornaby, was taken to James Cook University Hospital, in Middlesbrough, but was transferred to the Freeman Hospital, in Newcastle, due to her injuries.
She said: “I would like to express my thanks to the members of the public who stopped to help at the scene and to all of the emergency services who assisted with the collision and my care.
"I would also like to say thank you to the staff at James Cook University Hospital and the CCU at the Freeman Hospital and to everyone who sent supportive well-wishes to my family.”
