STOCKTON'S Farmers' Market will return this Saturday after the summer break in a brand new home.
The market, previously on Wellington Square, will in future be held on the High Street, just along from the Parish Church.
And food inspired by three of the country's most famous TV chefs will be on the menu.
Market organiser Lorna Jackson will be cooking at the market on the day itself, and said: “We always love the start of a brand new season, so I’ve taken a spot of seasonal inspiration from Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall, James Martin and Nigel Slater, and I’ll be rustling up some special street food on the day itself.
“I’m thinking of a Chicken and Mushroom frying pan pie, some wild mushroom omelettes and a Ginger Mousse. And I’m sure we can find a nice wine from Skinningrove Wines to go with all that. We’re feeling hungry just thinking about it.”
The market will be held from 9am to 3pm and further Markets take place on Saturdays October 25 and November 29 plus a Christmas special on Saturday, December 20 For further info, see Stockton Farmers’ Market on facebook.
