SECURITY footage has been released of two attempted robberies.

They both took place at RSK Convenience Store on Staithes Road in Dormanstown, near Redcar.

The first incident happened at around 5am on Sunday, February 4 when a man entered the store and threatened another with an object and attempted to steal money.

The suspect is described as being a white man, around 5ft 8ins to 5ft 10ins tall and he was wearing a black balaclava, a dark coat and he was carrying a rucksack.

The second incident happened at around 7pm on Sunday, March 4 when a man threatened another with a knife.

The suspect is described as white, 5ft 9ins tall, around 20 to 22-years-old, wearing black trainers and dark blue tracksuit bottoms.

He also had on a two-tone grey and dark blue Nike Air tracksuit top with the hood up and a grey baseball cap underneath and black gloves.

The suspects left empty-handed on both occasions.

Detectives are not linking the incidents and no arrests have been made at this stage.
