A SOCIAL housing provider has refurbished one of its office to improve services for customers and staff.

Coast and Country has invested in the Eston Housing Office to transform the building.

The 23-strong team working at the office gave their input into the redesign, which provides additional private interview rooms, a new and modern reception area and better facilities for the staff who provide housing advice, support and guidance.

Ian Tennant, resource planning manager at social landlord, said: “The work at the Eston Housing Office took around 11 weeks, and it was important to carry out to make sure our customers have a welcoming and modern environment in which to discuss their housing needs and seek support and advice.

“Colleagues who work in the office every day are best-placed to give guidance on the design and facilities and we made sure their contribution formed a big part of the colour and style of the revamped building.”

Lesley Conroy, head of customer sustainment, added: “We are continually investing in our homes, but it is also important that customers have access to district offices in the heart of the community.

“Refurbishing our Eston Housing Office has created space that is both comfortable for customers and practical for our staff working there.”
