PEOPLE are invited to a Halloween-themed ‘Love it’ event, with a number of activities suitable for all the family.

The Fun Day is taking place at Locke Park in Redcar from noon until 3pm on Sunday, after the Junior Park Run and New Marske Harriers ten mile run.

Visitors will be able to take part in activities such as pumpkin carving and crafts at Locke Park Boathouse.

Other activities include Halloween fancy dress, a spooky walk, and litter-picking opportunities for any volunteers wishing to take part.

The event has been organised by Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council to mark the ‘Love It’ campaign and is encouraging local communities to come together and demonstrate all the different ways to take care of your local area.

Councillor Alec Brown, cabinet member for neighbourhoods at the council, said: “This Halloween-themed ‘Love it’ event will be a fantastic day for all the family, so we’re encouraging as many people as possible to come down and join in."

Cleveland Police and Fire Brigade will also be at the free event.
