A RANGE of fun, free events will enable people to enjoy the Taste of the Tees festival.
So far River Tees Rediscovered (RTR) has funded several events, such as brewery tours, boat trips and library talks and activities with more than 700 people taking part.
The organisation has also sponsored a number of events, one of which was in conjunction with the Clervaux Trust Café in Darlington, who held an ‘Italian Evening’ in support of their young adults who live with varying learning difficulties.
Sean Walker, Catering Tutor at the Clervaux Café said “We had a great night, we raised close to £400 in takings and the learners pizza’s and desserts were fantastic.”
James Hunter, RTR delivery officer, added: “We are proud to support local businesses and community groups to run these kinds of events. The learners at the café gain a lot from having the services available and they all really enjoy doing what they do.”
Other events organised by RTR during the Taste of the Tees festival include Stand Up Paddleboarding, Meet the Neighbours at Stokesley show as well as the upcoming Festival of Thrift.
