A WOMAN arrested on suspicion of wasting police time following a high profile rape investigation has been released without charge.
"A woman aged in her 30s who was arrested on suspicion of wasting police time in connection with a report of rape in Redcar on Friday 3rd March has been released without charge," said a spokeswoman for Cleveland Police.
"The allegation of rape has been recorded on police systems.
"The investigation is now closed pending any new information being received."
