FOODIE treats will be on the menu at a vegetarian festival taking place this weekend.
Saltburn’s Earthbeat Centre will host its first Vegan and Vegetarian Festival to coincide with National Vegetarian Week on Saturday, May 13.
The festival will feature live music, food and a variety of stalls showcasing different products.
There will also be talks and demonstrations from stallholders including Quorn throughout the day, with academic and professor of bioethics Jan Decker as the headline speaker.
The in-house Shanti Café and raw food shop will be open throughout the event, taking place from 10am until 4pm.
Organiser Tony Galuidi said: “We hope to make this an annual event that will grow year on year into an amazing festival.
“We’ve gathered together local artisans and businesses who are offering wonderful vegan and veggie products and introducing them to a wider audience.
“I promise one thing – whether you’re a meat eater or not, nobody will leave our event hungry.”
