THE funeral of one of the teenagers who fell to their death, off cliffs in Saltburn, took place on Friday.
Hundreds of mourners attended the funeral of Harry Watson at St Leonard’s Church in Loftus, east Cleveland.
The 17-year-old was believed to have been having a laugh and taking photographs with his best friend, Alex Yeoman, when tragedy struck at around 7pm on Friday, March 24.
Harry, a student of St Cuthbert’s Walk, Liverton Mines, who is originally from Dorset, was a student at Brotton’s Freebrough Academy.
Mourners lined the streets of the town at 1.30pm to pay their respects for the much-loved teenager.
Members of the local cadet force formed a guard of honour at the entrance of the churchyard ahead of the arrival of the funeral cortege
Previously, his mother, Tanya Watson, had described her son as ‘one of the gifts in life always there for everyone and anyone’.
On Monday evening hundreds of people descended on Saltburn beach to release balloons in memory of the pair, whose untimely death has brought the east Cleveland community together.
