A MAN was arrested after a head-on collision in East Cleveland on Sunday evening.
A Renault Scenic, driven by the 29-year-old, struck a Renault Clio at approximately 9.20pm on Zetland Terrace, Loftus.
The driver of the Clio suffered a fractured wrist and sprained ankle and was taken to hospital for treatement but later released.
The Clio collided with a shop front.
A passenger in the Renault Scenic suffered a broken leg and was taken to James Cook University Hospital, in Middlesbrough.
The driver of the Renault Scenic was arrested on suspicion of drink driving and causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
He remains in police custody.
