A FARMERS' Market is returning to a seaside town for the ninth year of trading.

Saltburn Farmers' Market started nine years ago in the Easter blizzards of 2008, with just eight stalls.

It is now one of the largest in the North-East and is still growing.

New food producers are joining all the time, and organisers say Saltburn is becoming a "gourmet town" with more than 30 places to get a coffee and a snack.

More than 35 artisan traders will be in the town tomorrow (Saturday, March 11), including Skinningrove Wines, Wrefords Farm and Tees Cider.

Rachel Wreford, of Wrefords Farm, said: "We've been on the waiting list for Saltburn Farmers' Market for over a year and we are really excited to be coming on Saturday. We have a small local family farm in Shotton Colliery just outside Durham where we raise our own free range pigs.

"We can't wait to get to Saltburn and let people try our sausages."

The market takes place from 9am to 2pm on Saturday just outside Saltburn Railway Station. For more information visit www.saltburnfarmersmarket.com
