A MAN has appeared in court after a 67-year-old was robbed and threatened with a knife over the weekend.
The 42-year-old from Guisborough appeared at Harrogate Magistrates Court on Tuesday, February 7, charged with robbery, theft and fraud by false representation.
The charges relate to a number of events, include an incident in Great Ayton on Sunday, February 5, when a 67-year-old was threatened with a knife and robbed in the village.
They also include an incident in Helmsley on the same day, involving the sale of cigarettes and an incident on Thursday, February 2 when a woman in her eighties had her purse stolen in Thirsk.
The man was remanded in custody to appear at Teesside Crown Court on March 6.
