MUSIC legends and a DJ set from a “This Is England” star will feature in Redcar ’s second two-day ska festival.
RedSka 2 will take place on Friday, April 21 and Saturday, April 22 at the Coatham Memorial Hall.
It follows a similar event last year which saw ska and reggae music fans from across the country head to Teesside.
The Friday sees the popular “DJs night” from 7pm-midnight when actor and DJ Andrew Shim, who plays Milky in the “This Is England” film and Channel 4 TV series, will be behind the decks. He will be joined by other DJs, including Ska Train from Bristol and Boots Bellies and Braces from Yorkshire.
Headlining the bands day on Saturday, April 22, which runs from 11.30am to midnight, will be Jamaican ska and reggae legends Dennis Alcapone and, with his band The Pressure Tenants, Winston Reedy.
The festival will raise money for The Specialized Project – a music-based charity inspired by The Specials.
