ARMED robbers are being hunted by police after a raid in Guisborough.

A woman was threatened with a bladed weapon after two men stormed the Co-op petrol station on Middlesbrough Road and demanded cash on Sunday.

The staff member had a weapon held to her face and was forced behind the shop counter before one of the men used the same weapon to force open a till before leaving with a till, cash and a bottle of Jack Daniels.

Both men spoke with a Teesside accent and had their faces covered during the incident.

One is white, between 5ft 5ins and 5ft 9ins tall, of medium build and in his mid-20s.

He was wearing a black balaclava, dark hooded top, grey jogging bottoms and black footwear.

The second was also white, around 5ft 7ins to 6ft tall, medium build and wearing black material over his face, dark coloured bottoms and a hooded top.
