POLICE have recovered a large amount of cannabis and illegal tobacco following a raid at an address in Hartlepool.
Almost 15,000 cigarettes and 299 packs of tobacco were recovered when officers executed a warrant at an address on Lime Crescent on Thursday, November 10 in partnership with members of a trading standards team.
Sergeant Tom Legg, from Hartlepool Integrated Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “We have responded to the concerns of the local community regarding the sale of drugs in the local area.
"A large amount of cannabis and contraband cigarettes were seized from the address and we are now working in partnership with the Trading Standards Agency with regards to this."
- A 56-year-old man was arrested and bailed pending further enquiries.
