MOTORISTS are being warned to expect overnight road closures on the A171 Moor Road in east Cleveland.
The road, between Liverton Road (B1366) and Birkbrow, will be closed from Sunday, September 18 to Friday 23 between the hours of 7pm and 6am.
This is to allow Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council to carry out essential resurfacing to the road.
A signed diversion will be in place and access to property within the works will be diverted under supervised access. Residents and business owners have been informed.
Cllr Alec Brown, cabinet member for neighbourhoods, said: “The A171 is a busy carriageway, which suffers wear and tear over time. It is important for the safety of those who use the road that maintenance is carried out at an appropriate time before any substantial deterioration occurs resulting in prolonged and costly works having to be undertaken, or damage or injury being suffered..”
