A NORTH EAST beach is hosting two top events this weekend including Get Loose on the Beach featuring star BBC Radio 1 DJ Pete Tong.
He will be taking centre stage in Redcar on Sunday, August 28, from 4pm, where resident house DJs from around the UK and Europe are also set to perform.
On Saturday there will be the Festival of Colour, a Holi colour paint party, traditionally a Hindu celebration, where people throw paint powder at each other from 4pm on Majuba Beach.
The paint party festival was originally scheduled for the beginning of the month but was postponed due to high winds.
Cllr Carl Quartermain, cabinet member for jobs, skills and leisure at Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council, said: “These events are going to be fantastic, and with music legend Pete Tong joining us, it’s going to be a weekend you will not want to miss.”
