AN 18-YEAR-OLD motorcyclist suffered back fractures and a 16-year-old car passenger a broken ankle as the result of a crash.

The collision was between a red Honda motorbike and a blue Ford Mondeo car on Wilton Lane in Guisborough on Wednesday at about 5.35pm.

Both injured teenagers were taken to James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough for treatment.

The crash follows the death of another 18-year-old motorbiker, soldier Charlie Stubley of Teesville, who died in nearby Grangetown, Middlesbrough, on Sunday. Mr Stubley was riding an off-road style motorbike which was also in collision with a car.
