THEATRE lovers are in for a treat this month with two outdoor performances taking place under the stars in a popular visitor centre.

And audience members are being encouraged to bring a picnic and something to sit on for the performances of Gulliver’s Travels and Ratburger at Guisborough Forest and Walkway.

The Pantaloons’ new adaptation based on the book by Jonathan Swift is set to take place tomorrow at 6pm.

A week later, Heartbreak Productions will make its theatrical debut of Ratburger, adapted from David Walliams’ acclaimed children’s book, on Friday, August 26 at 6.30pm.

Councillor Carl Quartermain, cabinet member for jobs, skills and leisure at Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council, said: “We are delighted that Guisborough Forest & Walkway is hosting such high profile performances.

“These are a great way to spend time in the summer holidays with all the family and we hope as many people as possible will come along.”

Both the shows are being hosted in centre’s outdoor amphitheatre which provides an atmospheric venue for performances with seating for 80-100 theatregoers under the stars.

Gulliver’s Travels tickets are priced at £13.50 for adults, £8 for children, £37 for family and children under three years old go for free.
