SKELTON High Street was closed for three hours on Wednesday morning after an accident at the junction with Coniston Road.
Emergency services were called to the scene of the collision at 6.20am, which involved a Morgan’s Bakery van and a Vauxhall Corsa.
Firefighters spent two hours at the scene helping to remove the car which had become trapped underneath the Mercedes Sprinter Van.
The road was closed in both directions but reopened at 9am. Nobody was injured.
