The police helicopter was called out to try to locate a woman who made off after crashing her silver Audi
A WOMAN in her 40s was arrested after crashing her silver Audi coming down Birk Brow, on the A171 Whitby to Guisborough Road, at lunchtime on Wednesday.
The driver, who was alone in her car, made off from the single-vehicle accident and the police helicopter was called out to locate her.
She was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving.
A short time later, a red Audi crashed further down the hill.
The road was closed for part of the day.
