AN INJURED mountain biker was taken to hospital by trained rescuers after falling off his bike in Guisborough Forest.
The 49-year-old lost control of his mountain bike while cycling with friends on Saturday. He was injured when he hit the ground heavily sustaining shoulder injuries.
Volunteers of Cleveland Mountain Rescue Team were alerted and deployed one of the Landrover ambulances.
After treating the man at the scene they took him to James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough for treatment.
It was the 21st emergency for the Cleveland Mountain Rescue Team this year.
The 50 trained rescuers in the team must raise £25,000 a year for the charity's running costs. Last year the team was called out 42 times.
