A MAN in his 50s suffered serious internal injuries in a road accident on Thursday (May 19).
Police are appealing for witnesses to the crash involving a white Hyundai I10 and a white Ford C-Max, which happened on the A171 Fancybank between Guisborough and Charltons at about 3.30pm.
The 58-year-old male driver of the Hyundai was taken to James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough with serious injuries. He is in a stable condition.
The 54-year-old male Ford driver suffered a pelvic injury and has been discharged from hospital.
Anyone with information regarding the collision is asked to contact PC Daniel Badger from the Cleveland and Durham Specialist Operations Unit on the non-emergency number 101, quoting event number 88921.
