HIGH winds are causing problems on Teesside.
The Tees flyover on the A19 was closed to high-sided vehicles and caravans, with motorists asked to use the nearby Newport Bridge.
Redcar and Cleveland Council also reported that the underground car park at the Heart complex in the town centre iwas closed due to the high winds.
"Staff are manning the gates to allow cars to exit," spokesman said.
Meanwhile, at Hawes in the Yorkshire Dales, Brunt Acres Road has been closed due to flooding and one car has been rescued after becoming trapped.

Cumbria Police have warned people travelling across the A66.
"Vehicles which are affected by strong winds are being advised to avoid using the A66," a spokesman said.
"Vehicles, such as empty lorries or caravans, can be vulnerable in excessive winds and should avoid using the road.
"All motorists are reminded to drive according to the conditions and slow down whilst driving in high winds. Those drivers affected are encouraged to use alternative, less exposed routes until conditions subside."
The council has also reported that the Dunsdale Recycling Centre is closed to anyone looking to dispose of light goods such as plastic and cardboard, due to the strong winds.
Anyone looking to dispose of heavy goods like soil, rubble can still use the centre, which is on the B1269, near Guisborough.
