THIEVES stole 30 LG Televisions Stolen from a lorry parked up while the driver took a rest.

The incident happened on the A174 in Lazenby, East Cleveland on Friday.

Cleveland Police are appealing for information after the articulated unit was broken into while it was parked in a lay-by on the A174.

"The incident occurred this morning, between 4.15am and 5.15am while the 54-year-old driver took his scheduled break," said a spokeswoman for Cleveland Police.

"30 LG 43” televisions were stolen from the lorry which are worth thousands of pounds in total.

"It is possible that some of these TVs have already been sold and police are appealing for anyone who has been offered one of them or anyone who has any information regarding the stolen TVs to come forward by contacting PC Julie Nicholson on the non-emergency 101 number, Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or www.crimestoppers-uk.org."
