A MOTORIST was left with minor injuries following a five vehicle accident on Loftus Bank on the A174.
The incident, which occurred yesterday (Monday, November 9) at around 6.30pm, involved a black Toyota Rav4, a blue Volkswagen Touran, a blue Vauxhall Corsa, a black Toyota Yaris and a black Renault Clio.
The 54-year-old male driver of the Toyota Rav4 was taken to James Cook University Hospital where he was treated for minor injuries to his back.
The driver and passenger of the Renault Clio made off from the scene, leaving a light brown coloured Staffordshire Bull Terrier in the vehicle.
Police are appealing for the driver and passenger of the black Clio to come forward.
Anyone with information regarding the collision or anyone who witnessed it is asked to contact PC Neil Foster from the Cleveland and Durham Specialist Operations Unit on the non-emergency number 101, quoting event number 199160.
