AN engineering firm is now the official sponsor of Guisborough Rugby Club.

Fulcran Limited has invested in the club to help it to continue to improve and develop for the benefit of local adult and junior participants.

Managing director David Pallent-Home said; “We are delighted to be supporting Guisborough Rugby Club and we are looking forward to the events planned over the next year.”

The deal has been welcomed by the club's sponsorship and fundraising officer, Paul Towers, who said “As a local community amateur sports club we are heavily reliant upon the support of sponsors as we strive to continue our pursuit of success and improvement both on and off the field.”

And mini juniors section chairman, Neil Thomas, added: “This sponsorship provides a massive boost to the Club enabling us to invest in new training equipment for our mini and juniors section to use this season, we are hugely grateful to Fulcran for their support.”

The first home league game of the season is on Saturday, September 5 at Belmangate, Guisborough, with a 3pm kick off against Percy Park.
