A BODY has been found in a North-East hotel by police searching for a missing man.
Officers searching for Lee Ray found a body in the Beacon Hotel in Station Road, Redcar, on Thursday afternoon.
A spokesman for Cleveland Police said: "Police can confirm they were called to the Beacon Hotel in Redcar at around 2.30pm today where the body of a man was recovered.
“The body has not been formally identified; however the family of Lee Ray have been informed.”
Police are not treating the death as suspicious.
Mr Ray, 32 from Redcar, was last seen at the cashpoint of Morrisons supermarket in Redcar at 10.42am on Monday.
