AN award-winning auditorium is to open its doors next week to one of the leading professional orchestras in the North East.
Royal Northern Sinfonia, orchestra of Sage Gateshead, and the UK’s only full-time chamber orchestra and the leading professional orchestra in the North East, will perform at Yarm School's Princess Alexandra Auditorium on Tuesday, February 3 at 7.30pm.
Members of Royal Northern Sinfonia string section will be performing three works for string ensemble from renowned composers Joseph Haydn, Ernest John Moeran and Claude Debussy.
Headmaster David Dunn said: “It’s an honour and a privilege to be able to welcome Royal Northern Sinfonia to the school for what promises to be a fantastic evening of entertainment. The Princess Alexandra Auditorium will provide the perfect setting for the orchestra.”
Tickets are priced at £10 for adults and £5 for students.
