A TEAM of young rugby players are all kitted out with new strips thanks to a new sponsorship deal.

Guisborough RUFC's under ten and under 12s teams received the boost from housing developer Taylor Wimpey.

Neil Thomas, mini and juniors secretary at Guisborough RUFC said: “The mini and juniors sections at the club are completely self-funded, so donations like this really do go a long way.

“The money we have received has enabled us to provide kits for two teams from our junior division, so we are extremely grateful for their generosity.

“I would like to take this opportunity to thank Taylor Wimpey for their support. It really is very much appreciated and the players absolutely love their new kits.”

Guisborough RUFC currently has 15 teams – ranging from under sevens right up to adults.

Debbie Whittingham, sales and marketing director at Taylor Wimpey North Yorkshire explains: “It’s clear that the club is an extremely important part of the community so we hope this marks the start of a long and successful partnership."
