Police arrest Redcar man who was threatening to injure himself
POLICE hve arrested a man who locked himself in a flat, was throwing glass bottles out of a window and making threats to injure himself.
The disturbance took place on Station Road in Redcar at about 7pm tonight.
pecially trained officers attended and at about 8.10pm, police forced entry to the flat and arrested the 48-year-old.
He has been taken to hospital with minor injuries, and arrested on suspicion of causing criminal damage to a motor vehicle and making threats with intent to endanger life.
Station Road was closed for about an hour while the incident was ongoing.
