AN unusual museum exhibition has opened showing the skeletons of birds and frogs in motion.

Visitors to the Dorman Museum in Middlesbrough are also able to explore some of the attraction's old animal skeletons, which have not been on display for decades.

The Bare Bones exhibition contains specimens in skeletal form, shown in life like poses with one showing an Osprey in midflight and a series of five frogs in a leap to show the different limb positions while jumping.

The temporary display in the H2O gallery at the museum runs until July 20.
