YOUTH offending work on Teesside has been given a royal seal of approval.

The South Tees Youth Offending team was invited to attend a Prince's Trust conference.

The royal request was to give Prince Charles, who set up the charity, a chance to find out more about the work being done in the area and how it supports The Prince's Trust.

Sheelagh Gillespie, senior practitioner for the youth offending team, attended the event at St James' Palace, in London, with South Tees the only youth offending service to take part.
