ORGANISERS of one of the region’s leading cultural events are on the look-out for people to play their part in organising the celebration.
The 2018 Middlesbrough Mela Association annual general meeting takes place on Monday, February 26 and all are welcome to attend.
The Mela Committee is a team of individuals who work all year round to put on the event, and they are on the look-out for new members, including two young people aged between 16 and 18.
As committee members they will be involved in the actual running of the Mela, so an interest developing and managing the event, plus a willingness to attend and contribute to monthly meetings, is crucial.
Those wishing to join must complete a membership form prior to the AGM to be eligible to vote.
Anyone wishing to attend or considered for election is asked to contact Leanne Littlewood on 01642-729137.
The takes takes place from 6.30pm in the Mandela Room at Middlesbrough Town Hall.
