A LANGUAGES tutor has set up a new link with partners in Middlesbrough’s German twin town.

Peter Samson, of Cafe? Pierre Languages, based in Middlesbrough, recently returned from Germany with a new partnership in Oberhausen.

Mr Samson, who teaches German to adults, wanted a partner in Oberhausen in order to develop a new language programme that includes modern day technology.

Cafe? Pierre Languages already has partners in la Corun?a, Spain, Bourges, in central France, Kostroma, in Russia, and Breda, in the Netherlands.

“I am delighted that we have made an excellent start to our project, Digital Briefs Freunde (digital pen friends in English).

“Our partner, the Volkshochschu?le in Oberhausen is very keen to develop my ideas. This is especially important to me as I was born in Middlesbrough and I can develop links between my home town and a real town in Germany that has many similarities to those of Middlesbrough, the Tees Valley and North Yorkshire.

“In this Brexit age in which we live, I have proven that there are many English speakers who want to learn a language.”

Mr Samson is now looking for an Italian partner to widen the range of languages included in Cafe? Pierre Languages’ portfolio. For more information contact cafepierrelanguages@gmail.com, 07929 781421 or see @cafepierrelanguages on Facebook.
