A RECRUITMENT drive has begun at a water utilities firm which is opening new premises in Middlesbrough.

New water utilities brokerage Splash Utilities is now settled into its new 8,000 sq ft premises in Royal Middlehaven House, Middlesbrough and with 30 staff already in place, a planned recruitment drive is now in full swing.

With various positions available across the firm, from team manager positions to businesses energy consultants, Splash is looking to create a further 70 new jobs in its Middlesbrough office.

Middlesbrough Jobcentre along with the National Careers Service can provide support to residents who wish to apply for the positions and help prepare their CVs.

Cllr Charlie Rooney, Middlesbrough’s Deputy Mayor and Executive Member for City Centre Strategy, said: “We’ve been clear in our plans for Middlesbrough that these are the kind of jobs we want to be attracting to our city centre.

“Splash has really bought into being part of Middlesbrough and its Managing Director has spoken passionately about the benefits of being here as he sees it. We would urge anyone interested to read up on the jobs they have on offer.”

Managing director Tony Anderson said Middlesbrough was chosen over other cities due to the location near the A66, car parking and a nearby train station.
