AN ASSAULT on a busy road left a man injured and in need of hospital treatment last night.
Middlesbrough’s Parliament Road was cordoned off by police after the 38-year-old was reportedly attacked at around 7.30pm.
A 26-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent and is currently in custody.
A spokeswoman for Cleveland Police said enquiries into the alleged assault are ongoing as she appealed for witnesses to come forward.
