A VIDEO production company has been recognised with an award for its work in the wedding industry.

Former Middlesbrough College student James Homer set up Jolly Films less than a year ago, but hos company has now been named Best Videographer at the The Wedding Industry Awards for the North East & Yorkshire region as well as Best New Business.

Mr Homer, who has his videos screened at festivals across the world, will now compete for a national award in London early next year.

"We have a growing portfolio of clients and agencies nationwide, whether that be for personal wedding films or for large-scale commercial and event work," said Mr Homer.

"It was amazing to win two awards and to be recognised by our clients and the judging panel as the number one Wedding Videographer in our region.

"It has been a good 10 months, and it is great to get this award," he added.

The awards are split into eight categories for different regions across the country, and all sizes of video production companies are encouraged to apply.
